Pyeongchang Olympic Promotion Centre
Trevor gets a sneak peek at what to expect at the 2018 winter Olympics at the Pyeongchang Olympic Promotion Centre.
The winter Olympic games is a big event for Korea in 2018 and they have put a lot of work into being the destination to host the games. Today, Olympic enthusiasts can visit the PyeongChang House to get a glimpse of what to expect at the games. The house has been created to give visitors an insight into all aspects of the Olympics.
The building was made to not only promote the games but also highlight how environmentally friendly the winter Olympics will be. The house is divided into 5 sections including a main exhibition room with athlete models representing the winter sports. Learn what sports will be played and where, what the buildings are made out of and how they were made and even see what outfits the athletes will wear.
It’s not all about looking and learning, you can even get hands on and try curling for yourself or go to the 4D experience room, which offers guests a virtual experience of winter sports. Outside there is a wishing tree, which is a great place to wish our athletic heroes the best for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
If you are planning on coming to Korea, try and plan it in with the Olympics as it is going to be amazing but if you’re coming before, make sure you come to check out PyeongChang 2018 Olympic House as it really is an incredible insight into winter sports.
