To finish our journey in Thailand the crew head back to Hellfire Pass for a very special dawn service. The ANZAC Day service at Hellfire Pass is considered to be one of the most important and memorable for Australians in the World today.

• ANZAC Day has been commemorated around the World and on Australian shores for 100 years now but the ability to actually commemorate it on foreign land is one that's incredibly special and when you think back to the days that soldiers were actually cutting their way through here in Hellfire Pass.

• The paths are lit with flaming bamboo candles, probably much the same way it was when the soldiers worked 18-hour days to cut their way through the limestone. Most of the crowds assembled here are family and friends of the POW's.

• Along with them are Harold Martin, who is 99 years old and Neil McPherson, who's 94. These two West Australian Veterans were here when this railway was built and discuss the importance for Australian's to come here to Thailand to experience this ceremony.

• This experience is one you must do on your visit to Thailand and sharing a sense of pride and great sadness with this crowd is an incredibly special and moving experience.

• Did you know? They even took time out in 1944 to celebrate and commemorate the great sacrifice our soldiers put fourth on ANZAC Day.
