There is no shortage of thrilling adventures to be had in South Thailand. Today Trevor crosses scuba diving the Similan Islands off his bucket list; rated one of the top ten diving spots in the world.
- Located 84 km northwest of Phuket and directly west of the stunning emerging resort town of Khao Lak lies the Similan Islands in the Andaman Sea.
- Considered one of the top ten diving spots on the planet, these islands boast perfect conditions with gentle currents and crystal clear waters teeming with colorful marine life.
- During the monsoon season (mid April to October) the islands are closed to the public for conservation reasons.
- Diving conditions are great with 25-30 meter visibility. Temperatures range from 26-28 degrees allowing a comfortable dive.
- No matter what skill level diver you are the diving operators will help you feel safe at all times during your dive.
- From clown fish to whale sharks the marine life here is incredible.
- Typically a day trip out to the Similan Islands is around $200 which includes Island exploration, 2 to 3 dives, lunch, drinks all with transfer to and from the islands.
