“Indoor Skiing”
Seoul’s latest playground is Woongjin Playdoci – believe it or not, this entertainment centre houses Korea’s largest premier driving range with 200 tee stations and a 360-yard capacity, Korea’s first indoor ski park, Korea’s largest water park, western style spa, high quality fitness centre, kids academy…and various shopping areas. Wow. And all in the heart of Seoul city. The water park and spa allows visitors to enjoy both cool waves and a warm spa at once. There are artificial waves, space ball, and zebra slides, a bar – it’s endless. It is 94000 sqm. There’s something for everyone here.
You may not think of Korea as a place to ski; many people think Canada or Japan or Europe as places to ski. But Korea has some amazing skiing slopes. But in the middle of summer when you can’t go to a natural ski slope – well you can head to Woongjin Playdoci!
Rental of ski gear is available here – everything including skiwear.
The indoor ski resort is open all year around and features a beginner’s slope with matching snow condition and decline, and a middle and advanced slope with a park, mogul course and a course for riding. The snow here is powdery and great to ski on. It really mimicks a real snowy environment. It’s not just skiing available here – you can try snowboarding, bobsledding and ice tubing! There are also lessons available, so even first-time skiers can have a go!
The main slope is 270 m long – and the secondary slope (for beginners) is about 70m. Then as explained earlier -- there are the school slope and beginner and intermediate’s slopes. So it doesn’t matter what your skiing skill is - there is something for everyone.
The cost is 30-70 dollars to ski here, depending on what you go for.
Brilliant fun for everyone.
