The Viking way of exploration is all about taking guests deeper into the people, places and culture that they visit.

• In Vienna, the year’s wine harvest is celebrated with a traditional Heurigen Dinner – a high spirited dinner and cherished annual event.
• On arrival, guests are greeted with a glass of wine. Depending on the weather, you get to sample delicious local dishes on the outdoor terrace or in the rustic dining room.
• Each autumn, locals gather in the vintner’s wine tavern amid a festive atmosphere – food is bountiful, and a spirit of 'gemutlickeit', or good cheer, fills the soul.
• Austrian’s are known to love a good party, and experiencing this celebratory custom is key to gaining an understanding of Austrian culture.
• The wine grapes grown in this area are of a traditionally sweet varietal, with early and late harvests delivering very different experiences.
• After a great meal, a couple of wines and some dancing, it’s time to head back to the Viking longship for a good night’s sleep.
