Trevor discovers the rich history, culture, and vibrant waterfront of Buenos Aires before heading to Antarctica.
- The journey to Antarctica begins with a stop in Buenos Aires, known as "The Paris of South America" and rich in both South American culture and international influences.
- Buenos Aires’ European-inspired architecture, influenced by Colonial, Art Deco, and French Bourbon styles, is best explored on foot through its cobblestone streets.
- Plaza de Mayo, the oldest public square, has been the site of key events in Argentine history, including the 2022 World Cup celebrations and the 1945 protest for Juan Domingo Perón’s release.
- Casa Rosada, or "The Pink House," overlooks Plaza de Mayo and holds historical significance, including the famous balcony speech by Eva Perón, a symbol of social welfare and women's rights.
- Puerto Madero, a mix of refurbished historical buildings and modern skyscrapers, offers a lively atmosphere, with waterfront dining, nightlife, and a scenic pedestrian bridge over the canal.
