Yes flying is faster but if sightseeing is your thing then traveling by rail is the way to go. Scott and Trevor take the ‘Ocean’ Train from Halifax to Quebec City.
- VIA railway operate on over 12,500 kilometers of rail across Canada with 475 trains per week across eight provinces.
- Back in 1977 the federal government lead by the then Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau made the decision to revitalize the rail system to ensure passengers were its major focus.
- The Ocean offers restaurant quality meals and wines, and the sleeper touring class offers rooms with private bathrooms and chair converting beds. You can also enjoy views from the upper observation car and the train also offers free wifi.
