• visit the famous Prado Museum, living proof of the richness of Spanish art and one of the world's most beloved art institutions. Admire paintings and other works from the nation's 16th-century Golden Age to the 20th century, viewing the masterpieces of Goya, Velázquez, Bosch and others.
• Visit the death place of Christopher Columbus, the prolific explorer who is a revered all over Spain for broadening the Spanish empires horizons with his voyages in the 1400s, before he actually died in relative obscurity right here in Madrid in 1506.
