Vikings were the international tradesmen of their time. From Scandinavia in the north and Greenland in the west, they brought furs, skins and walrus tusk ivory to the trading towns of Western Europe and those along the Silk Road.

• The Explorers’ Lounge is inspired by the trade routes and the navigation methods the Vikings used. The area is accented with cosy pelts tossed over sofas, Turkish marble framing the fireplace, with pewter and amber details in the bar area.
• Within the Explorer’s Lounge there is also the Explorer’s Dome – a bespoke high definition 3D cinema experience featuring films of a cosmic scale and beauty.
• Immerse yourself in the wonder of the universe while learning its mechanics from the films and on board resident astronomer Howard Parkin.
