One of the great Into the Midnight Sun experiences is celebrating the crossing of the Arctic Circle.

• The ship conducts a ceremony to celebrate the crossing of the Circle – the spa is filled with ice and the General Manager takes a dive in.
• Guests are invited to join the ceremony, plunging into the icy water themselves, allowing them to join the prestigious and elite Order of the Blue Nose.
• After their dive, passengers are invited to kiss a raw salmon, before being anointed with a blue nose. This is followed by a shot of aquavit to warm the heart and formally induct them to the Order of the Blue Nose.
• The fun is celebrated with a great luncheon, and it’s a great way to spend a day on the ship as it sails towards the Lofoten Islands.
