- The museum features an accurate replica of The Cavern, a venue where the Fab Four used to play.
- The museum features items from the band’s entire history, starting in post-war Liverpool, and following through all through their recording history, tours, films and solo years.
- John Lennon’s last piano was played by the man himself on the day he was killed.
- The group spent a lot of time at Matthew Street, and was home to the first place they played – The Cavern. The area is full of a number of reminders of the band, including a statue of Eleanor Rigby.
- There are a number of areas around the city that will be familiar to listeners of the band’s music, including the grave of Eleanor Rigby.
- The tour takes you to the Woolton village area, with its strawberry fields, St. Peter’s Church and Penny Lane all being a part of the experience.
- It has been estimated by the Liverpool Council that The Beatles bring $86 million a year in tourism to the city, which is even more impressive considering the band broke up 50 years ago.
