If you’re looking for places to stay in Vilanculos, you can’t find better than the Vilanculos Beach Lodge.

• Home to 22 luxury bungalows, the Vilanculos Beach Lodge is a great place to base yourself while exploring this part of the country. With spacious open decks, thatched roofs and ironwood construction, the bungalows are designed using wooden rafters and pins in traditional ways – along with a king-sized bed of course.
• The main building has an open layout with the reception and lounge leading into the bar and restaurant. The menu here is absolutely fantastic, with some meals using seafood caught just out in the bay.
• The pool is surrounded by the lush, tropical gardens – it is hard not to feel relaxed when sitting under the coconut palm trees.
• There is a shop by the pool where you can hire paddle boards and these can be taken out for a light paddle in the protected waters of the bay.
• This hotel is fantastic, offering luxury accommodation in a distinctly African style, and is a perfect place to stay if you’re visiting Vilanculos.
