Our destination today is Anticosti island, situated at the mouth of the St. Lawrence River where the river waters mix with the Arctic waters from the Strait of Belle Isle and the more temperate Atlantic waters, Anticosti Island is rich in Marine wildlife and known for its many species of Whale and Dolphin.
- The ship provides trips to the island where you can cruise around or walk the forest trails. Visitors can also choose to stay on the ship for a relaxing day wildlife spotting from the deck.
- Marine biologist Alain Carpentier and Trevor continue wildlife watching on the ships top deck. Alain works as a guide helping visitors spot whales and determine their species.
- Officially there are 13 species of Whale and Dolphin. Among the types of whales, you can spot the Minke Whale, Humpback Whale, Killer Whale, Finback Whale, Blue whale and Sperm whale.
